1. Service Operator

The GritSprout application is operated by AppleNet SRL, headquartered at Bd. Ion Mihalache, nr. 166, sector 1, Bucharest, Romania, registered with the Trade Registry under no. J40/14687/2007, tax ID RO16775402. For any official communication, you can contact us at contact@gritsprout.com or through the Contact.

2. Service Description

GritSprout is a web application that helps families build healthy habits for children. Parents define daily activities, and children complete them through self-reporting. The app provides streak systems, achievements, and parent-defined prizes as motivation mechanisms.

3. Terms of Use

By using the GritSprout application, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you do not agree with any of them, please do not use the service.

4. Account and Registration

A parent account can only be created by persons aged 18 or older. By creating an account and adding children, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the registered children and that you consent to the processing of their data, in accordance with Article 8 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You are responsible for the security of your account and your children's PINs. The parent account is protected by email authentication, and children's access is protected by a personal PIN. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.

5. Children and Parental Consent

The application is intended for use by children under the supervision and with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian. In accordance with Romanian law and Article 8 of the GDPR, the processing of data of children under 16 requires the consent of the holder of parental responsibility. By creating children's accounts, the parent provides this consent.

Children have limited access to the application: they can only view and complete their own daily activities, and view their own streaks and achievements. They do not have access to financial data, account settings, or other users' data.

6. Subscription and Payments

The service offers a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. After the 7 days, the monthly subscription is $4.99, paid once for the entire family. Payment is processed through Stripe, a secure and PCI DSS-certified payment processor. GritSprout does not directly store your card details.

The subscription renews automatically each month. You can cancel the subscription at any time from your account settings, without penalties. After cancellation, you will retain access to the service until the end of the paid period. No refunds are issued for the current period.

7. Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal data and your children's data in accordance with the GDPR. Children's data benefits from an additional level of protection, pursuant to Article 8 and Recital 38 of the GDPR. For complete details about what data we collect, how we use it, how long we retain it, and what rights you have, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The application content (design, code, text, graphics) belongs to AppleNet SRL. The data you enter (custom activities, names, configurations) belongs to you and can be exported or deleted at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

GritSprout is a parental support tool and does not replace direct supervision of your child. We do not guarantee that using the application will produce specific results in your child's behavior. The service is provided "as is", without explicit or implied warranties beyond those required by applicable law.

10. Service Availability

We make every effort to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or updates, with prior notice when possible.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. You will be notified by email at least 30 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent courts of Romania. You have the right to file a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) if you believe your data is being processed incorrectly.

13. Contact

For any questions regarding these terms, you can contact us at contact@gritsprout.com or through the Contact.
